In March 2007, M-PESA was launched, heralding a new era of mobile money transfers in Kenya. By November, M-PESA celebrated a significant milestone, reaching 1 million customers, demonstrating the immense demand for accessible financial services.

By June 2010, M-PESA’s customer base had surged to 10 million, reflecting its widespread adoption and profound impact on Kenya’s financial landscape.

2011–2015: Catalyzing Cashless Payments and International Expansion
